A local charter fisherman, Capt. Allen Jernigan of Breadman Ventures (https://www.breadmanventures.com/), reached out about painting the interior of a new-to-him SCB 22 Stingray, and we jumped at the opportunity. These boats are amazing — capable of running 4 inches of water in excess of 90 mph with a 300HP outboard. For the paint we chose Interlux Perfection Matterhorn White with a mix of fine and course Awlgrip Griptex. Why the different brands? For rolling non-skid, Interlux Perfection gives a more affordable but equally durable finish but I also have not found a better non-skid material than Griptex. The best of both worlds! We enjoyed the transformation of this boat and look forward to fishing with Capt. Allen on her soon!
