Description
The 20′ Jones Brothers Cape Fisherman is a popular Gorges Boatworks project – the 5th one we have done in fact – and for good reason. The 20′ Cape Fisherman features a shallow draft and a solid ride, allowing you to fish as easily in 2′ as in 200′.
This particular boat is a 1996 hull and has been the company’s flagship (aka my personal boat) for the last several years and in 2015 had a plethora of work done and upgrades installed including a new paint inside and out, new wiring, new rigging, new SeaStar BayStar hydraulic steering, Bennett trim tabs, Simrad NSS7 and an Airmar B60 through-hull transducer.
She is powered by a 2006 Mercury 200 Optimax (direct injection 2-stroke) with less than 600 hours. This set-up yields a cruise of over 4mpg at 34mph with 3 adults and a fishing load.
The bottom has not been painted with epoxy barrier coat or anti-fouling paint so you can choose which option works best for you!
