This boat was found in the weeds behind a building we were looking at a few years ago. We bought it, and a good friend and customer is participating in the re-build with me. The hull is a 1996 Seminole Marine 18′ flats boat rated for a 150HP outboard. We hung a 2017 Yamaha VMAX 150HP on an Atlas 8″ jackplate. We raised the deck to help it drain better, switched the deck drains to go straight overboard, re-wired it, re-painted it, put in a new 37GA Moeller gas tank, all kinds of new things! A Fusion head unit, 4 Fusion 6.5s, a Garmin GPS/Sonar, custom lighted switches, and new pumps.
FINAL UPDATE! We upgraded from the Yamaha 150 to a Mercury V8 250ProXS. It only weighed about 19lbs more than the Yamaha but pushed the boat into the mid-70s with no trouble, top speed only limited by operators desire. It was sold to an admirer and now resides in sunny Florida.
